RUGBY
Munster have confirmed that Simon Zebo has signed a one-year deal to return to play with the province for next season.
Although Zebo had been linked with London Irish in recent weeks, the cork man says the lure of being close to home, family, friends and Munster fans outweighed all other options when making a decision on his future.
Munster Rugby and the IRFU say that Zebo has signed a co-funded contract.
He will now be eligible to play for Ireland again, ahead of the 2023 World Cup.
The announcement of his return comes just 1 week after Keith Earls moved within 1 score of his try record for Munster. Earls double against Toulouse gave him 59, just 1 shy of Zebos 60, a record he’ll look to add to when he comes back.
