Kerry have won against Meath in the Allianz Hurling League.
The Kingdom were victorious by 3-14 to 0-16 in the Division 2A clash at Austin Stack Park, Tralee.
Meath had two of the first 3 points, Kerry putting over through Shane Conway. The Kingdom had 5 wides inside the opening 10 minutes.
Shane Conway had them level at 2 points apiece after 13 minutes. Again Meath went in front and once more Shane Conway equalised; 3 all after 20 minutes.
A repeat dose meant it was then 4 all, and the sides then proceeded to swap points again. When Shane Conway pointed in the 32nd minute it was 6 apiece. Meath went ahead in added on time but a Daithi Griffin point drew the Kingdom level.
Maurice O'Connor then put over to give Kerry a half time lead of 8 points to 7.
2 Shane Conway points and another from Tom Doyle extended the Kerry advantage to 4 by the 40 minute mark. After back to back points from Meath a Michael Leane goal gave Kerry breathing space
That made it 1-11 to 0-9 after 46 minutes. Eight minutes from time, and with Kerry ahead 1-14 to 0-13, a A Shane Conway goal put the issue beyond doubt
Meath got it back to 4 points at 2-14 to 0-16 in the final minute. An added time goal from Dan Goggin was the final score of the encounter
