UEFA have released a fresh statement in relation to their decision to decline the mayor of Munich's request to light up the Allanz Arena.
The request was to light up the outside of the stadium in protest against draconian laws passed in Hungary in relation to homosexuality.

That was to happen ahead of tonight's Euro 2020 match at the ground between Germany and Hungary but UEFA declined the request due to "political context".

The governing body claims now that the decision wasn't 'political' but that the request was.
