There was a 12 race program at the Kingdom Greyhound stadium last night and the following are the results.
Race one was won by Maga Baby. Owned by Donagh mc Kivergan of Gortatlea Tralee. she took up the lead at the third bend to win convincingly by 6 lenghts over Steeple Rd Kate in 29.25 at a price of 3/1
Fermoyle Blake provided the first leg of a double John Sugrue of Cahirciveen in race 2, He hit the front off the last bend to beat Blakes Boher by 21/2 lenghts in 29.41 at a price of 11/2.
Manhattan Lily provided the first leg of a double for Tralee trainer Johnnny Kelly in race 3. Always in command she beat Steeple Rd Jenna by 5 lenghts in 29.36 at a price of 5/1.
Nick Cotter from Knocknagoshel won race 4 with Headley’s Bolger. In a tight finish he beat Steeple Rd Clara by a short head in 29.41 at a price of 9/2.
Clare Trainer Pat Curtin provided the winner of race 5 with Rosmult Blitz. Taking up the lead off the last bend he went on to beat Headleys Secreto by 3 lenghts in 29.49 at a price of 5/2
Tim Kelly of Killarney won race 6 with Shronedraugh Joe.. Hitting the front at the second bend he held off the late challenge of Runaway wink by one and a half lengths in 28.93 at 9/2.
John Sugrue of Caherciveen completed his double in race 7 with Fermoyle Fury. Producing a strong finish he beat the early pace setter Kilgulbin Joe by half length in fastest time of night of 28.78 at a price of 13/2.
Race 8 went to Anthony o Connell of Abbeydorney with Abbey Paris. Again in a very tight finish he just got up on the line to deny Send it Brandy by a head in 28.98 at a price of 7/2.
Jayne Donlon of Listowel won race 9 with Lissycasey Harry. Taking a wide berth he beat Send it Sky by one length in 29.09 at a price of 4/1.
Dan Brassil of Abbeydorney won race 10 with Cantys Forge. Taking up the lead at the first bend he was always in command beating Leaha Annie by 3 lenghts in 29.10 at a price of 5/2.
Steeple Rd Lenny owned by Michael and Dan Wren of Tarbert was a very impressive winner of race 11.Flying from traps he ran out a convincing winner over South of Georgia by ten lengths in a fast 17.66 over the 325 yards distance at a price of 6/4.
The final race provided the second leg of Johnny Kelly’s double with Ionic Scholastic a trap to line winner beating Tiershannon Jet by six and a half lengths in 29.60 at a price of 3/1.
We are back racing on Fri night with first of a 12 race race program off at 7pm with the feature race being the final of the Pestana@stud and Droopys kennels hospital stake with a winner’s prize of €4500.
