Galway and Tipperary have kicked off their Allianz National Hurling League campaigns with victories this afternoon.

The Tribesmen put Westmeath to the sword with a 4-31 to 12 point win in Salthill.

Meanwhile Liam Cahill's men came away from Parnell Park with a 2-27 to 22 point over Dublin.
