Tonight at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium there’s the three semi finals of The SIS Race of Champions with a winner’s prize of €15000. Each semi carries serious quality and the following maybe the greyhounds that can qualify for next Sat nights final.
First semi is very competitive with Skywalker Barry already winners of the Select stakes in Waterford and the Clona Bolt stakes in Cork. Possess serious early pace. We also have Amazing Alice recent winner of the Czearwitch in Mullingar and in her first look around Tralee last weekend did a track record time of 27.98. We also have the locally owned Dromulton Pilot ,recent winner of the Lee Strand 550 and Ballymac Belvult not without chances.
Second semi sees the Galway trained Buttsy’s Bengal an impressive winner in Shelbourne Park last weekend in 28.23, Ballymac Cooper third in last year’s Boylesports Greyhound Derby final and Tarbert trained Dooncaha Blaze not without a chance.
Explosive Boy recent winner of the Produce stakes in Clonmel and unlucky in the final of the Con and Annie Kirby memorial in Limerick looks the pick of the third semi.
Killara Icon has very impressive form in Shelbourne Park and the locally owned Realism is capable of a big run from trap 6.
All in all three top class semi finals to look forward to tonight that will give us our six finalists for next Sat night’s SIS Race of Champions final and a winner’s prize of €15000.
