The English Football Association has contacted Wayne Rooney over comments he made in an interview.
The former Manchester United and England striker revealed he changed his studs to 'long metal ones' playing for United against Chelsea in 2006 as he 'wanted to try and hurt someone'.
Rooney is now managing Derby County.
