Group 1:
2-12 Ardfert V Brosna 0-7
Ardfert finished the first half with a five point lead over Brosna with a score line of Ardfert 1-06, Brosna 0-04. An early, well taken goal from Daithi Griffin helped to settle the Ardfert side. Brosna came back into the game late in the first half with Adam Barry scoring three out of their four first half points. Timmy Finnegan and Jack O Sullivan played very well in midfield. Brosna started the second half very brightly, eating into that halftime lead that Ardfert had developed. But they were outdone by an excellent goal from Daithi Griffin, who took an exchange of passes and cheekily chipped the Brosna keeper from about 20 yards. That goal killed Brosna’s momentum. The last fifteen minutes was more going through the motions. Ardfert came away with the win on a final score line of Brosna 0-07, Ardfert 2-12. A special word of thanks to Kilmoyley Hurling Club for hosting the game. The pitch was in immaculate condition as always and there were plenty bodies on hand to help with stewarding and traffic management, ensuring that everything was run excellently.
Group 2:
0-17 Churchill V Reenard 1-9
Group 3:
1-8 Keel V Annascaul 0-7
Keel 1-08 Annascaul 7 points
This top of the group clash was a tight, close and relatively low scoring affair. In the early minutes of the game both side were inclined to hold possession, with Keel first making their mark on the scoreboard. Annascaul ended the first had ahead, 4 points to 2.
Keel started the second half will all guns blazing, scoring 1-2 within the first 4 minutes of the game resuming. The game was more free flowing than the first half, however it remained low scoring, with Keel finishing with a 4 point lead.

Group 3:
1-10 Skellig Rangers V Finuge 0-7
Skellig Rangers hosted Finuge in sun drenched Portmagee in the final round of the Junior Football Club Championship Group C. Finuge travelled south having to win to progress to the quarter finals but came up against a home team in Skellig Rangers determined to make it three wins from three in the group. The game started at a decent pace with both sides exchanging scores, Keith Brennan, Aidan O’ Sullivan, Micheàl O’ Sullivan all on the scoresheet for the home team with Darren Riordan executing two frees while Finuge got good scores through Darren O’ Brien and Regi Galvin. Finuge impressed in their defending and dominated the opening few minutes with possession. The game was fairly tight until a free flowing team move resulted in Martin O’ Sullivan palming home a goal after good work from Keith Brennan. Finuge would rue their missed scoring opportunities in the first half as they found it hard to score due to a couple of great saves from goalkeeper Padraig O’ Sullivan and some wides from their forwards. Despite Finuge performing well, both teams went in at half time with the score 1-5 to 0-4 in favour of Skellig Rangers. Finuge pushed hard in the second half but Skellig always managed to keep them at bay with goalkeeper Padraig O’ Sullivan kicking a 45. Keith Brennan kicked a free with Finuge getting a great score from their corner forward Jamie Galvin. Finuge were unlucky as they thought they had managed to claw their way back into the game but unfortunately for the North Kerry side, the goal was ruled out for square ball. Padraig O’ Sullivan was called up again for free kick duties, kicking one over with the help of the post. Skellig Rangers will be disappointed having a few wides which gave Finuge a little bit of hope but Skellig Rangers kept their defence tight for the final few moments of the game with Sean Kennedy and Fionan O’ Sullivan strong in their defending.
3-20 Cromane V Asdee 1-5
Cromane easily accounted for Asdee to notch their second win in a row in the County JFC game in Cromane. The home side were never troubled once a Darragh McKeefry goal put them into a 1-2 to no score lead after 5 minutes. Cromane played with a strong breeze in the opening half and kept the scoreboard ticking with eight different scorers. Young Zein O'Flaherty and Ryan O'Connor who scored 0-3 and 0-4 respectively were more impressive. At half-time Cromane led by 1-11 to 0-2.
The one-way traffic continued in the second half despite the best efforts of Asdee's Kieran Kelly and Darragh Keane. Cromane hit the second goal in the 35th minute from Jack McGrath (who was lining out for the first time with his uncle Sean O'Sullivan, who was in goal for Cromane). Cromane's third goal arrived in the 45th minute when Tony Duffy flicked home after one of the game's more fluid passing movements. This left Cromane in a 3-16 to 0-3 lead. Asdee rallied briefly and a Kieran Kelly goal in the 55th minute was the highlight of their afternoon. Cromane (who started with seven under-20s) were convincing winners to seal their passage into the County JFC quarter-finals.
