Renard started the game with an attack and set up Rob Wharton who scored the first point of the game. This was followed by a pointed free from Sean Teahan after Killian Young and Sean Teahan were fouled straight from the kickout. Tarbert collected the kickout from Jamie Diggins and set up Gerald O’Sullivan for their first point of the game. Renard replied with another point, this time from Sean O’Connor. Renard attacked again but Kevin Curran sent the ball wide on this occasion. Cillian Langan went on a powerful run through the Renard defence and fired the ball into the back of Pa McGill’s net to put Tarbert one point ahead. Tarbert got the ball from Pa McGill’s kickout and gave it to Shane Enright who fired in a long high ball towards the Renard goal. Finbarr Carrig was in the perfect position to fist the ball into the back of the Renard net for their second goal in two minutes. There was nothing the Renard defence could do. Renard responded with some good play between Rob Wharton and Kevin Curran and together they set up Conor O’Leary who added another point for Renard. Both teams traded wides during the next two minutes. In the 15 th minute Andrew Doherty was shooting for goal but was fouled by Rob Wharton and Cillian Langan pointed the resulting free. Kevin Curran responded with another pointed free for Renard. This was followed by good kickpassing from Killian Young to Kevin Curran who then returned the ball to Killian to place nicely over the bar for a Renard point. Renard collected the kickout from Jamie Diggins and fired the ball in towards Sean Teahan who did very well to win it and was fouled in the process. Kevin Curran was on hand to point the resulting free. Andrew Doherty sent the ball wide for Tarbert before Sean Teahan pointed a free for Renard in the 20 th minute. Danny Wren received the ball from Jamie Diggins in the Tarbert goal and went on a speedy run through the field to set up Cillian Langan to add another point for Tarbert. Mark Buckley sent the ball wide for Tarbert after doing very well to turn it over from lan Curran. In the 26 th minute Sean Teahan and Eoghan McCrohan worked well together to move the ball into a good position for Eoghan to score a point for Renard. This was followed by two wides for Renard from Brian Sugrue and Sean O’Connor. Tarbert went on the attack once again but Alan Curran did great work to block Shane Enright before Ronan Quinlan put a lot of pressure on Cillian Langan who sent the ball wide. Kevin Curran scored another point for Renard after Brian Sugrue went on a great run down the field to set up Kevin. This put Renard two points ahead at half – time on a scoreline of Renard: 0 – 10 Tarbert: 2 – 03.

Tarbert started the second half with three unanswered points from Shane Enright, Cillian Langan (1 free) and Kieran Denihan. Good defending by Renard set up Rob Wharton but unfortunately he sent the ball wide. Tarbert went on the attack once again and Mark Buckley added another point. Once again Renard responded with their own attack through Conor O’Leary, who passed it beautifully to Sean Teahan and Sean made no mistake by firing it over the bar, for Renard’s first point of the half. Straight from Jamie Diggins’ kickout Conor O’Leary went on the attack again, this time setting up Mark Sugrue to place neatly over the bar. During the next two minutes
Cillian Langan sent two frees wide which was a let off for Renard. In the 43 rd minute Sean Teahan scored another great point from a very difficult angle. Tabert went on the attack again but Pa McGill prevented the ball from going just over the bar and Alan Curran was on hand to clear any danger that may have been lurking around. This clearance set up Conor O’Leary who unfortunately sent the ball wide. Sean Teahan went on the run along the endline in the 46 th minute and managed to pop the ball perfectly over the Tarbert bar for an excellent point. This was followed by a powerful run from Rob Wharton towards the Tarbert goal and he was fouled enroute, which resulted in a penalty for Renard. Mark Sugrue stood up to take the penalty and he had Jamie Diggins beaten, but unfortunately the ball went to the wrong side of the post and wide. Tarbert responded with a point from Paddy O’Connell in the 50 th minute. The game was getting very exciting with ten minutes remaining and only a point between the sides. In the 52 nd minute Kevin Curran pointed a free for Renard.
Cillian Langan went on the attack for Tarbert but great defending by Brian Sugrue and Brendan Kelly stopped him in his tracks and as a result he sent the ball wide. This was followed by another Tarbert wide from Gerald O’Sullivan who missed a free after more great defending by Renard. Rob Wharton went on another powerful run again before being fouled but unfortunately Sean Teahan sent this attempt wide. Cillian Langan pointed a free for Tarbert in the 57 th minute before Renard patiently worked the ball up the field to Sean Teahan, who did very well to get around his defender, and set up Conor O’Leary for another great Renard point. Cillian Langan
pointed another free for Tarbert in the 61 st minute. This was the last score of the half with the game ending in a draw on a scoreline of Renard: 0 – 16 Tarbert: 2 – 10. This was a very exciting end to full time and now there was 20 minutes more of extra time to look forward to.

Tarbert started the first – half of extra time by going on the attack but good defending by Brendan Kelly broke down this attack and Brian Sugrue cleared the ball down to Sean Teahan who then passed it onto Kevin Curran to pop it over the bar. In the 65 th minute Tarbert went on the attack and tried for a third goal but Pa McGill made a great save in the Renard goal before Michael O’Leary made a great save on the line straight away as Tarbert continued in pursuit of a goal. In the end Finbarr Carrig scored a point for Tarbert. This was followed by a wide for Tarbert from Kieran Denihan but Kieran made up for this mistake by pointing a free in the 69 th minute. Killian Young sent the ball too long for the Renard forwards and it went wide. This ended the first – half of extra time on a scoreline of Renard: 0 – 17 Tarbert: 2 –12.

Tarbert started the second period of extra time with a wide from Paddy Callaghan before Cillian Langan collected Pa McGill’s kickout and sent it straight over the bar for another Tarbert point. Tarbert scored two more unanswered points during the next two minutes through Andrew Doherty and Cillian Langan. Sean Teahan was fouled in the 80 th minute but tiredness was starting to set in for all the players and Sean sent the resulting free wide. Mark Sugrue pointed a free for Renard in the 83 rd minute. Renard tried desperately to find a goal to level the game but Tarbert defended very well to ensure they cleared the danger. They then worked the ball down the field and set up Andrew Doherty for another point to put them four points clear. This was the last score of the game which ended on a scoreline of Renard: 0 – 18 Tarbert: 2 – 16.

A Jason Hickson pointed free opened the scoring for Annascaul. This was followed by a Fintan Herlihy goal after 5 minutes of play. Shortly after Tomás Ó Ciobháin responded with a goal for Lios Póil with a fine shot that gave Annascaul Keeper Tommy Pierce no chance. James Crean kicked a point from play for Annascaul. This was followed with a Maitiú Seán Ó Grífín point from play for Lios Póil. The game was all square shortly after when Cathal Ó Sé scored a point from play for Lios Póil. This was short lived as Cathal Ferriter responded with another goal for Annascaul. Lios Póil responded with a Deaglán Ó Súilleabháin point from play. The score after 15 minutes played in the first half in Paddy Kennedy Memorial Park, Annascaul - Annascaul 2-3 to 1-3 Lios Póil.

Fintan Herlihy scored a point from play for Annascaul straight after the water break. A Jason Hickson pointed free for Annascaul was closely followed by a Deaglán Ó Súilleabháin point from a free. A Deaglán Ó Súilleabháin point from play opened the scoring in the second half for Lios Póil. This was followed by another Deaglán Ó Súilleabháin point from a free to leave only a goal between the two sides. Shortly after Deaglán Ó Súilleabháin was denied a certain goal by good defensive play from Annascaul. Annascaul responded with points from play from James Crean, Killian Falvey and Cathal Ferriter to restore their lead. The score after 15 minutes played in the second half in Paddy Kennedy Memorial Park, Annascaul - Annascaul 2-9 to 1-6 Lios Póil.

Donnacha Ó hUigín kicked a point from play for Lios Póil. Unfortunately for Lios Póil they lost Darragh Ó Brosnacháin and Donnacha Ó hUigín through indiscipline at this point of the game. This was followed by points from Killian Falvey, James Crean and Cathal Ferriter for Annascaul to secure their lead. Deaglán Ó Súilleabháin kicked a point from a free for Lios Póil. This was to be the last score of the game when Referee Billy O’Shea blew the full time whistle the score in the Moran’s of Dingle West Kerry Senior Championship Quarter-Final was Annascaul 2-12 to 1-8 Lios Póil.
