Day 13 is a huge day for Team Ireland and for Kerry as David Kenny is set to compete in the 20KM Walk Final.

The Ballyhar racewalker is sure to have plenty of support from home as his race begins at the friendly time of 20 past 8 tomorrow morning.

Kenny who races with Farranfore/Maine Valley Athletics Club ranks 54th in the world heading into the event.

Team Ireland also involved in Golf, Diving, Modern Pentathlon, Boxing and Cycling.

Tanya Watson will compete in the semi-finals of the 10-metre platform diving at 2am, Irish time.

The 19-year old was 16th in this morning’s preliminary round.

While overnight, Sydney McLaughlin won the women’s 400-metre hurdles in a world record time of 51-point-4-6 seconds.
