The Kerry Area Basketball Board (KABB) season has just commenced with over 300 teams competing in over 50 League, Cup and Plate competitions. These competitions will now be known as the Kerry Airport League, Kerry Airport Cup and Kerry Airport Plate Competitions at all levels from Juvenile up to Senior in both Girls / Women and Boys / Men. The CEO of Kerry Airport, John Mulhern, said: “We are celebrating our 50th anniversary at Kerry Airport and over the coming year, we are reaching out to communities throughout the county to show our appreciation of what they do for others. Basketball – in clubs and schools – is at the heart of so many towns and villages in Kerry. Hundreds of people play, coach and coordinate games, camps and activities from Ballybunion to Caherciveen, from Kenmare to Dingle, from Farranfore to Glenbeigh. Most of these wonderful people are volunteers who invest so much time and energy year after year for the love of the sport and to ensure that youngsters have a healthy social outlet. We are proud to play our part and we are looking forward to working closely with KABB in promoting and developing
