British and Irish Lions rugby union head coach Warren Gatland isn't happy with World Rugby for "dragging" his side into the disciplinary action against Rassie Erasmus.
The South Africa director of rugby will face a misconduct hearing after posting a video online criticising match officials following the Springboks first-Test defeat.
Gatland says he's done nothing wrong.
Gatland has backed Bundee Aki to deliver in Saturday’s decisive Test with the Springboks.
The Ireland centre’s introduction is one of six changes to the side beaten last week in Cape Town.
Meanwhile, the Springboks will be without influential scrum-half Faf de Klerk and flanker Pieter-Steph du Toit through injury.
Gatland says a midfield partnership forged in Connacht can help the Lions win the series.
In other news,
THREE WALLABIES, INCLUDING stalwart winger Marika Koroibete, have been dropped for Saturday’s Test against the All Blacks after breaching team rules on drinking.
Koroibete, Pone Fa’amausili, and Isi Naisarani had “dinner and drinks” with the rest of the squad at the team hotel but continued “to drink alcohol well beyond an agreed time”.
This comes after Rugby Australia confirmed an investigation is under way into alleged drunken “incidents” involving the Olympic Rugby sevens team on their flight back from the Tokyo Olympics.
