First practice at Las Vegas Grand Prix abandoned

First practice at the Las Vegas Grand Prix was abandoned after just 9 minutes due to a problem with a manhole cover at the track.

The governing body - the F-I-A - has suspended activity until all manhole covers around the track can be checked.

This is the first time that a race has been held on the Las Vegas strip.
