Lewis Hamilton has returned to Formula One action after its summer break to finish 18th in first practice ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix.
He had to abort his fastest lap, as Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas set the quickest time.
Hamilton's title rival Max Verstappen was second for Red Bull.
