Easterby confirmed as interim Ireland head coach

Simon Easterby has been confirmed as the interim Ireland head coach in Andy Farrell’s absence.

Farrell is taking a break from the job following the autumn internationals to take up the position of Lions head coach for their tour of Australia.

Easterby has been Ireland’s defence coach for a decade, and will lead Ireland through next year’s Six Nations, and that summer’s tour.
