The team who knocked out the holders St Patrick's Athletic - Waterford - are away to Malahide United in the second round of the FAI Cup.

Last year's runners up Bohemians have been handed an away tie against non-league Lucan United in this afternoon's draw.

Record holders Shamrock Rovers have a tricky away tie with Drogheda United which is the only all-Premier Division tie.

Of the other top-flight clubs left; Shelbourne are away to Bonagee United, Derry will entertain Cork City, UCD go west to Galway United and Dundalk play Wexford away.

The fourth non-league side left, Maynooth University Town, host Treaty United - and all ties will be played on the last weekend of this month.

Meanwhile - Shamrock Rovers have been handed a tough draw if they progress to the Europa League play-off round.

The Hoops will face either Qarabag or Ferencváros if they beat Shkupi in their third round tie.

Should St. Pat’s beat C-S-K-A Sofia in the third qualifying round of the Conference League, they’ll play one of Basel or Brondby (pr: Bron-boo).

And the potential reward for Sligo Rovers fending off Viking is a tie with either Dunajska (pr: Dun-eye-shka) Streda or Romania’s F-C-S-B.

Rangers are in Champions League third round qualification action this evening.

The 'Gers are up against Union S-G in Belgium in the first leg of their tie.

Kick-off is at 7:45.

If the Scottish Premiership side progress, they'll play either Monaco or PSV Eindhoven in a play-off to reach the group stage.
