Kerry have finished the Allianz Hurling League with defeat to Carlow.
The Kingdom went down in Division 2A by 3-25 to 0-14.
The first half opened with Carlow on top and they led by 5 points to 1 at the 10 minute mark. With the score then at 6 points to 2 to Carlow John Michael Nolan goaled for the home side to put them into a 7 points lead after 14 minutes. The gap continued to rise and Carlow were ahead by 1-10 to 4 points come the half hour. After Kerry put over Carlow went straight down the other end to net for the second time. The gap stood at 11 at half-time, 2-12 to 0-7.
The sides started the second half by swopping points twice before Carlow hit 4 in a row to go 15 clear by the 45 minute mark at 2-18 to 0-9. It was 2-19 to 10 points at the water break and 2-22 to 0-13 on the hour mark. Goal number 3 for Carlow arrived soon after. The gap at the end was 20
