Day Two of the Vuelta a Espana will provide a test for the riders later.

They face into a 194 kilometre trek from Cascais to Ourem.

Irish cyclist Darren Rafferty lies in 37th after the opening stage of his Grand Tour debut yesterday.

The other Irish rider in the field is Cork's Eddie Dunbar who is 33rd after the time trial.
