Cork City have confirmed that midfielder Joe O’Brien Whitmarsh has joined English Championship club, Southampton.
The 18-year old made 27 appearances for the Leesiders last season, having signed professional terms in 2021.
O’Brien Whitmarsh has signed a three-year deal with the Saints, and will initially link up with their under-21 squad.
