The co-founder of cricket's Duckworth-Lewis method, Frank Duckworth, has died at the age of 84.

The original system to determine results in rain-interrupted matches, which he worked on alongside Tony Lewis, was first used in the international game in 1997.

It was renamed Duckworth-Lewis-Stern in 2014 after modifications by Steven Stern.
