Australia has launched its bid to host the Rugby World Cup in 2027.

Rugby Australia chairman Hamish McLennan has called it a "once-in-a-generation opportunity".

The country last hosted the tournament in 2003 - when England were crowned champions.

World Rugby will make a decision next year as to where the event will take place.
