Yesterday’s meeting of the Bureau of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities in Europe took place in Tralee as one of the events to mark Ireland’s presidency of the Council of Europe. Jerry spoke to members of the congress which represents 46 countries which are members of the Council of Europe, including Ukraine. Jerry first spoke to Cllr Jimmy Moloney, Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council who led the Irish delegation, the Association of Irish Local Government (AILG), and was instrumental in bringing the gathering to Tralee. He then spoke to Stewart Dickson who’s an MLA in Northern Ireland representing the Alliance Party. His final guest is Leendert Verbeek who’s president of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe.
