Trying to Solve the Cuckoo Conundrum– June 9th, 2023
Where do cuckoos go in winter? Why have cuckoo numbers fallen so dramatically in the past 30 years? These are some of the mysteries that the Cuckoo Tracking Project hopes to solve. The National Parks and Wildlife Service has linked up with the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) Cuckoo team to satellite track four cuckoos; three from Killarney National Park and one from the Burren National Park.
