On the 10th of October 2021, Castlemaine had its first fair day in a very long time.
Cathy O'Donoghue O'Connor arranged the fair day in memory of her father, John O'Donoghue, who suffered a short battle with cancer, to raise funds for Kerry Hospice.
Cathy got in touch with the Castlemaine events committee and Tommy Griffin to help make this fair day happen. It was sure to be a great day for all as soon as she spoke of her idea.
