Furthermore, we are privileged to hear from Lilia Hudz, a Ukrainian refugee residing in Kerry and a qualified psychotherapist. Lilia shares her firsthand experiences, elucidating the prevalent emotional and mental challenges encountered by Ukrainian refugees, including anxiety, insomnia, apathy, loss of motivation, and confusion, all stemming from the trauma of conflict and displacement. She offers invaluable advice on recognising symptoms that warrant immediate medical attention and emphasizes the importance of seeking professional help when needed. In addition, we provide guidance to Ukrainian listeners on accessing support services such as the Red Cross and psychological assistance.
