It was another belter of a weekend for Kerry sport across all codes with major victories in Football, Hurling, Camogie and Basketball. Kerry football manager Jack O’Connor talks with Eamonn about his return to management once again along with his backroom team and some other interesting questions.

Kilmoyley will be the first ever Kerry Hurling Team to compete in an All-Ireland final after seeing of competitors Banagher of Derry on Sunday in the Connacht Centre of Excellence. Kilmoyley goalkeeper John B O’Halloran was on the line with Eamonn to discuss the how important this win was to him and to his team.

Killarney man Kevin Leahy is preparing to participate in two 500km ultra runs across the Artic with only three weeks in-between. His preparation has been far from normal with videos of him being seen dragging a tractor tire through a bog in Kilcummin to simulate the conditions he will be participating in. He is in the final stages of his preparation for two weeks, with his first race in Canada and his second in Lapland. He is on the phone with Eamonn to discuss this mammoth challenge.

From a Killarney man travelling to Canada we have a Canadian man who has travelled to Killarney – to play basketball! Godwin Boahen has travelled a long way from home to play with ST Paul’s basketball team which is one of the youngest teams in the league. He along with Underage sensation Jamie O’Sullivan and PRO Enda Walshe were talking to Eamonn about the team’s recent success.

A county championship winning manager looks back at the past 12 months. Wayne Quillinan Austin Stacks manager speaks to Eamonn about leading his side to their first county championship title since 2014. He also peaks about their recent Munster Final loss along with his coaching philosophy and much more.

Killarney and District Motor Club will be running a Forestry Rally next month. Different to a tarmac rally, a forestry rally is run on gravel tracks in forests usually on a mountain side. The rally will be based in the Castleisland area with all the proceeds raised from the day going to the Irish Community Air Ambulance. The service is community run and is always on hand to support sporting events across the county and beyond. Producer Ivan caught up with Donie Lucey who has been with the Air Ambulance service since it began to find out a bit more about the service and he also spoke to some of the organisers of the upcoming rally.
