Parents of young children are being urged to get their child vaccinated with the MMR jab, with the HSE on high alert for an outbreak in Ireland. It’s following the death of a man in his 40s, who'd contracted the virus. It's the first case of measles reported in Ireland this year, and the first time there's been a death here linked to the virus since 2019.
