The Mercy Secondary School in Mounthawk launched their Christmas Carol CD this week. The album is the result of over ten years of recordings from past and present students, who perform at an annual carol service in Our Lady and St Brendan's Church every Christmas. Every year a selection of songs from the carol service were chosen to be recorded and the final CD is a labour of love encompassing a decade of music and dedication from both staff and students.
The CD costs €15 and all proceeds are going to the Kerry Hospice Foundation.
Siobhan Brosnan attended the launch and spoke with staff and students from the Mercy Secondary School Mounthawk, as well as representatives from the Kerry Hospice Foundation to discuss their fundraising efforts.
