Claire Cleary Kingston and her son Matthew from Killorglin tell their story.
Matthew is 15 now, and when he was 5, he was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis. He is now in remission and plays soccer and other sports. He wants to send out the message that it’s not just old people who get arthritis.
Pat Cleary from Tralee, a very active and fit man, went from being able to climb mountains to not being able to climb the stairs, because of arthritis. But now 74-year-old Pat is back being active again, thanks to various treatments he was able to access here in Kerry.
