This week's guest on Stand Out with Ian O’Connell is former Kerry ladies football legend and recently retired primary school teacher Mary Jo Curran. Mary won an impressive 10 All Ireland Finals and has 11 All Star awards to her name. The women whose sporting achievements matched and in cases exceeded their male counterparts. Their names are less known, their stories even more so! Her performances at Centre Forward and Midfield for Kerry during their golden age between 1982 and 1993 were a major factor in the teams success.
