Elma is mother of Donal Walsh, who was diagnosed with cancer at just 12 years of age. While battling cancer, Donal tirelessly raised funds for Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin and after his death in 2013, Elma and other family members set up the Donal Walsh #livelife Foundation to promote his anti-suicide #LiveLife message
