An Garda Siochana is warning third level students of becoming money mules. A money mule is when individual’s transfer’s money illegally obtained through their own bank account on the behalf of others. There have been 50 cases of this in Kerry and if caught the consequences include having their bank account closed facing a criminal record and even a prison sentence.
