Media Regulator Wants Your Views on Election Broadcast Moratorium – August 8th, 2024

At the moment, radio and TV broadcasters may not discuss issues related to elections and referendums from 2pm on the eve of voting day. This ban continues until after polling stations shut. The prohibition doesn’t apply to online, print or social media. The media regulator Coimisiún na Meán wants your views as to whether the broadcast moratorium should continue.
