Maida’s Memoir: Gramma,tell the story of how you came to America – May 20th, 2024

Maida McQuinn Sugrue is from Ballymac. She moved to Chicago at the age of 19, where she lives to this day. She recently published her memoir, which was inspired by her grandchildren asking her about her story of crossing the sea. She is a talented traditional musician, and she was a student of Slaibh Luachra legend, Pádráig O’Keeffe.
