49-year-old Donal Scanlon, who was originally from the Ballybunion area, and 42-year-old Alex Warnick, who was from the US, died tragically in a double drowning accident in Dublin’s Grand Canal on Saturday. It’s understood both men were homeless and had been living in tents along the canal.
