British broadcaster and journalist, Loose Women star Janet Street Porter recently said she couldn’t hire a car at Cork Airport because she’s 77-years-old. She said she only found out at the airport, that she needed a letter from her doctor that stated that she was ‘fit to drive’. She says she’s never had to submit such a document when hiring a car in France, Italy or Spain. Treasa spoke to Fianna Fáil councillor Niall Kelleher for the Killarney Municipal District.
