A first in Ireland has happened right here in Kerry. MTU Kerry hosted a summer programme for students from Nano Nagle Special School in Listowel – the first time a third-level institution has taken part in such a programme. Treasa spoke to Fémhe O’Sullivan who attends Nano Nagle school, Jacqueline Halpin who’s the school’s summer programme organiser, to Nano Nagle pupil Tomás Lynch and his sister Emma and father Micheál, Brendan O’Donnell, registrar of MTU Kerry, Hazel Byrne, manager of Kerry Sports Academy, and Minister Norma Foley.
