A 90-minute documentary on RTÉ1 last night examined claims of sexual abuse made against the former Bishop of Kerry, Dr Eamonn Casey, and the Catholic Church’s response. The programme was a partnership involving the state broadcaster and the Irish Mail on Sunday. Retired Irish Examiner journalist Donal Hickey, who still writes a column for the paper, knew Eamonn Casey when he was Bishop of Kerry in the 1970s. He also participated in the documentary. If you’re affected, you may call the Kerry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre on freephone 1800 633 333.
