New figures from the Restaurants Association of Ireland show that a total of 612 food businesses closed since the hospitality VAT rate returned to 13.5% from the reduced 9% rate last September.
That represents a rate of 51 closures every month or almost 12 a week – but the Government is standing firm on its refusal to reduce the levy. Jerry spoke to
