Hi Joe and Dominic, Apologies I forgot to include the blurb with last month’s photos - the castle was Carrigafoyle in Ballylongford and the other two were South Kerry! This month’s pics are all from my own back garden - beautiful fuschia, the rosehip on bare branch against a rare blue sky and my effort at catching a spiders web on the tree!! Luv the program Thanks Kay
Hi Joe & Domnick, Hope ye are well. Autumn is my favourite time of the year. Love the colours and light etc. Please see attached two photos taken recently in Gougane Barra. 1. Hi Joe and Dominic, Just thought I’d send these photos that I took in Killarney today as they remind me of Christmas- this month’s theme. What a beautiful day it was! Maura Enright
Good evening Joe & Dominic. I’m trying my level best to beat the deadline of Last Wednesday of the month to include my November entry for your great photo slot on Sat Dec4th. My one & only pic was taken with my phone ? on July 18th at midnight as I locked up before bedtime. As I gazed at the image, I thought this could be our crib at Christmas. Humphrey OConnor Kells was ordained to the priesthood on that evening. Now Fr Humphrey OConnor. The Moon over Kells resembled the Star of Bethlehem. ⭐️?. . “Happy Christmas”. Agnes O’Sullivan
Hi Joe and Domnick , Love the show. This is a picture of a traditional Irish farmhouse where many a happy Christmas was celebrated. Thank you, Nora Nelligan.
Hi Joe and Dominic, The first is of Jim Regan who has been putting up the Christmas lights in Castleisland for 27 Years and the second is the big wheel in Cork which is there every Christmas. Happy Christmas to you. John Keane, Castleisland
Hi Joe and Dominic,
I know that Christmas season has arrived when the Christmas candles go up on the windows and it reminds me of the Christmasses of long ago when there were no fancy lights, only the simple candle on the window which I think is very much more in keeping with the spirit of Christmas than all the glamour and glitz we see today. Also when Christmas arrives we know that the Wrens Day is close at hand and this is also a great traditional day of fun and celebration particularly in rural Kerry and long may it last.Attached photos of Christmas candles and Wren Boys. Regards Michael Kennedy Waterside Inch
Hi Joe and Dominic, Attaching three photos for ‘My Xmas’ at this stage. I love to receive a poinsettia - the first this year! The second is a photo of a beautiful Xmas decoration from front window of a friend’s house. Third photo at the Conor Pass - photo op on my way to Dingle for some pre Xmas shopping! Kay Fitzgerald
The sign of Christmas for me is the arrival of the bucket of 'Dry Cow Therapy Syringes' used for drying up the dairy herd on the farm. It means holidays for my Son Pa Lucid from milking and a break from washing extra farm clothes for me until the cows calf in late January. Taken by Marlyn McCarthy at the farm in Causeway.
Good morning Joe and Domnick, I am sending this little robin to wish you early season's greetings from Ballyseedy Woods My second picture was captured as I was driving into Tralee. The rainbow was arching over the houses so I pulled in just in time to capture it.....along with the road markings! Thank you Domnick for your critique...appreciate it and always enjoy the programme. Kind Regards Geraldine mc Garrigle
