Domnick's Photo's of the Month
Picture From the Past
RTE presenter Lucy Kennedy had to endure the mother of all temptations. when she travelled to Africa to film the story behind the sweet stuff as she travelled to Ghana for an RTE documentary called The Story Of Chocolate. She vowed to stay chocolate-free for the duration of the trip – although she admits the temptation was almost over-powering.
"I was surrounded by cocoa beans so I ended up licking them. There was no chocolate, just the beans," said Lucy.

Hi Joe & Domnick, Hope ye are both well. While out and about on the eve of St. Patrick's Day I came across one of Ireland's most photographed scenes at Molls Cottage in the Black Valley. An idea came to mind so I set about capturing it and this month's theme "proud to be Irish" came to mind - looking back on my life I am proud to be Irish.....There has always been so much warmth and welcome in the Irish people, culture and heritage and long may it continue. Kind Regards, Mairéad O'Keeffe
Hi Joe and Dominic, my proud to be irish photo is the simple shamrock by Brendan Kissane.
Hi Joe and Dominic, 3 images for the "proud to be Irish theme". These are from a hike up and down Knock na dTobar near Caherciveen. Joe probably passes it on his commutes to Tralee. We took advantage of the fine weather. It is often covered in mist and the paths can be a stream in wet weather. Magnificent views and the cross and stations are a tribute to endeavour almost 140 years ago. 1885 is the date on the cross. The stations were built, I understand, as a thank you for the roof staying on the church at nearby Foilmore. So quite a tribute to those who built them and have kept the path in good order ever since. "proud to be Irish !"
Joe- a broadcast from the top some day? if not already done.
All the best Mary Rose Bogan
