By chance, Mary met Gerry as they were both standing near the graveyard of the Presentation Sisters in Dingle, off Green Street in An Diseart gardens. Realising he had a lot of personal knowledge about the sisters, spoke lovely Irish and that he was a good story teller, Mary asked Gerry if he would tell her those stories and he agreed. It is a way of life no longer part of what we know today. The result is a new radio documentary and podcast, first aired on Radio Kerry on March 17th 2023, to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day.
