Young motor enthusiasts meeting in cars in Killarney are not breaking the law in the majority of cases.
That's according to Superintendent of the Killarney Garda Division, Flor Murphy, who was speaking at the recent Joint Policing Committee meeting.
Responding to a question about noise levels and dangerous driving on Park Road in Killarney, Superintendent Murphy says gardaí respond to calls in relation to disturbances there when received.
He said gardaí are aware of young motor enthusiasts meeting in their cars in car parks and garages, but there are no breaches of legislation detected in the majority of cases.
Superintendent Murphy added gardaí will continue to give the area targeted attention, particularly at weekends.
