It will be a number of weeks before IT systems are back to any kind of normality at UHK following the cyber attack on the health service systems.
That’s according to HSE National Clinical Advisor for acute hospitals, Dr Vida Hamilton.
She visited University Hospital Kerry to assess the impact of the cyber attack.

Dr Hamilton says while good progress has been made at UHK, she’s warning that any restoration will be partial.
She says teams are working to recover the systems, but says it will take time to get back to normal:
