Valentia Coast Guard and Valentia Lifeboat conduct yacht rescue overnight

Valentia Coast Guard coordinated a rescue off the Kerry coast overnight.

The coastguard received a call at 11PM that a yacht had suffered engine issues, around 12km south of Valentia.

The Valentia lifeboat was tasked to the scene and towed the vessel safely to Knightstown.

The coastguard says the operation concluded at around 4.30am and no injuries were reported.
