Over 17,000 (17,119) people in Kerry work from home, according to figures released in Census 2022.
They also show that the unemployment rate in the county dropped by over 10 percentage points between 2011 and 2022.
According to Census 2022, of the people in Kerry who answered the question about remote working, over 25% indicated that they work from home.
Over 60,000 (60,627) respondents in the county, aged 15 and over, indicated that they work full or part time.
Almost 49,000 (48,559) people work full time, with the 25-44 age category the largest cohort; while over 12,000 (12,068) people in Kerry work part-time, with the 45-64 age bracket accounting for over half of this figure (6,165).
Nearly 7,000 (6,918) respondents answered the employment question, but did not state whether they worked full or part time.
The labour force participation rate in Kerry is 58.1%, a slight drop (0.7%) on the last census.
The rate for females increased to 52.8% (up from 52.7%), while the labour force participation rate for males dropped to 63.7% (down from 65.1% to 2016, and down from 67.5% in 2011)
The figures show that the unemployment rate in the county was 9%, down from 12.4% to 2016, and down from 19.5% to 2011.
