IT staff at University Hospital Kerry are working closely with national teams to get critical systems back online following the cyber-attack on the HSE and Department of Health.
The team is working through every machine in the hospital to ensure they can be safely switched on.
Staff in the hospital are still using a paper-based system and consultants are risk assessing their patients to see if they have enough information available to safely see them.
The laboratory is working at between 20 and 30% of normal capacity due to the need for manual work.
