Two Kerry wastewater treatment plants are part of a national survey on examining sewage for COVID-19.
Irish Water is taking part in a project, being run by UCD and the National Virus Reference Laboratory on behalf of the HSE, which monitors influent in large urban areas.
This study will provide information on COVID-19 levels in population centres across the country.
