The Tralee Soup Kitchen will reopen on a takeaway basis this Saturday (January 30th).
Those running the soup kitchen made the decision to remain closed after Christmas, due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Kerry.
Collette Price, who is involved in the project, says it was a difficult decision but was made to ensure the safety of volunteers and those attending.
Ms Price says they are delighted to be able to reopen this weekend, now that case numbers have reduced in the county.
She explains how it will work in line with the latest public health restrictions:
The Tralee Soup Kitchen is located in Teach an tSolais on Ashe Street and will be open from 12pm to 2pm on Saturday for takeaways.
