Mercy Mounthawk Secondary School in Tralee has been crowned overall winner at the Young Social Innovators of the Year Awards 2021.
The school won the gold award for their ground-breaking Red Flags ‘Break the Silence’ project, which tackles the issue of toxic relationships.
Killarney Community College won the YSI Social Media Award, for their project to raise awareness about the false perception of Autism, ADHD/ADD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia.
Now in its 20th year, YSI helps young people to develop and implement ideas to create a fairer, more equal and sustainable world.
